About Bill Nye the Science Guy
Bill Nye the Science Guy aired from 1993 to 1998 for five seasons with fast lab demos, street interviews and parody songs. Early seasons set motion, sound and light rules with Nye in the blue coat and bow tie plus young guests.
Later seasons add life science, space and environment builds with guest experts and music video closers in every show. Each 23 minute episode stands alone by topic while lab tools recur for kids. Watch early seasons first for method setup, then later seasons in order for kids. The run ended in 1998 with 100 episodes and no new season produced as of 2026 for schools now.
