Seven seasons in broadcast order. The money war chains throughout.

About Billions

Billions (2016 to 2023) pits Damian Lewis's hedge-fund king Bobby Axelrod against Paul Giamatti's prosecutor Chuck Rhoades across seven seasons of escalating financial warfare. The show outlasts its original duel: Axe exits after season 5, Corey Stoll's Mike Prince takes the money side, and the endgame reshuffles every alliance.

Broadcast order is the whole guide; the seasons chain wealth, revenge and betrayal without resets. The Axe-to-Prince handoff in season 6 is the make-or-break point: viewers attached to the original rivalry should push through, since the finale pays off both eras. The announced spinoffs (Millions, Trillions and others) had no dates at the last check.

Good to know

Lewis's reduced presence from season 5 came from scheduling and personal circumstance, written in as Axe's exile rather than an ending. The finale closes the Rhoades saga properly while leaving the spinoff door open. Financial jargon flies constantly but the show always translates it into betrayal, so no economics background is needed. The spinoff slate was announced but uncast and undated, so the seven seasons are the complete set for now.
