About Continuum
Simon Barry created Continuum around Kiera Cameron, played by Rachel Nichols, a Vancouver protector from 2077 who is pulled back to 2012 with the fugitive group Liber8. She poses as a local officer and works with detective Carlos Fonnegra while young tech genius Alec Sadler feeds her future tools. Showcase premiered it May 27, 2012 and Syfy carried it in the US, closing October 9, 2015 after 42 episodes.
Watch seasons 1 through 4 in air order. Time travel drives the plot, but the release order matches the story order. Season 4 is a six-episode closer that resolves the fight over the future.
Good to know
Showcase renewed the show for a fourth and final season of six episodes in December 2014 after talks of a longer run ended. Barry has said he once mapped seven to ten seasons, but the 2015 ending is the complete story. No continuation had been announced as of September 17, 2026.
