Dallas ran 14 seasons from 1978 to 1991 on CBS, following the Ewing oil family feud with the Barnes clan at Southfork Ranch. JR schemes against Bobby, Sue Ellen and Cliff while Miss Ellie holds the family line through marriages, wills and shooting cliffhangers. Early seasons set the brothers rivalry, the Barnes grudge and the Ewing Oil board fights.
Two reunion films followed in 1996 and 1998, then a TNT continuation ran three seasons from 2012 to 2014 with the next generation. The saga closed in 2014 with no further revival produced.
