About Doctor Odyssey
Doctor Odyssey follows Dr. Max Bankman, played by Joshua Jackson, as the new doctor aboard a luxury cruise ship with Phillipa Soo, Sean Teale and Don Johnson. Episode 1 premiered September 26, 2024 with weekly Thursday hours through fall, a winter break, then spring return. Episode 16 Double-Booked aired May 1, 2025 with Episode 17 The Wave on May 8 and Episode 18 The Wave Part 2 on May 15.
ABC let cast options lapse in June 2025 without ordering season 2, ending the run at 18 episodes. Creator Ryan Murphy discussed shopping the show elsewhere, but no pickup was announced. Each week pairs a cruise themed case with the Max Avery Tristan triangle.
Good to know
Watch episodes 1 through 18 as aired. The fall hours set the ship and crew, the spring hours close the triangle and the finale rescue. Episode titles from Singles Week and Plastic Surgery Week through Double-Booked assume prior crew beats. No second season or film continues the story, so the 18 episodes are complete. Keep airdate order throughout.
