About House

House follows Dr. Gregory House leading a diagnostics team at Princeton-Plainsboro as he solves strange cases while managing chronic leg pain. Early seasons pair self contained medical mysteries with a slow build around House, Wilson and Cuddy, and later years rotate fellows in and out after Cameron, Chase and Foreman move on.

The show ran 177 episodes on Fox from 2004 to 2012 with no revival ordered. Watch in broadcast order since character breaks, clinic punishments and season finales carry forward even when the weekly case resets. The two part finale resolves the central friendship rather than teasing more.

Good to know

Broadcast order is story order with no shortcuts worth taking. The Tritter arc in season 3, the brotherhood break in season 5 and the Huddy turn in season 7 only land in sequence. New viewers sometimes ask about skipping to the later team, but the Foreman, Thirteen and Taub years assume the early dynamic. Treat season 8 as the planned ending, since the finale was written and shot as a close.
