About Ezel
Ezel follows Omer Ucar, framed for a casino robbery and murder by his best friend Ali, his love Ey Bally and her brother, who returns from prison as the wealthy stranger Ezel Bayraktar. Guided by mentor Ramiz Dayi, Ezel infiltrates the lives of those who betrayed him. The early run covers the frame up, the prison years and the return.
The middle stretch follows the revenge chess game and Ey Bally torn loyalties as old truths surface. The closing run ends the 2009 to 2011 story with the final confrontations. Often ranked among the finest Turkish dramas, it ran 71 episodes over two seasons. Watch seasons 1 and 2 in air order.
Good to know
Watch both seasons in air order, since the revenge plan layers episode to episode and flashbacks reframe earlier scenes. The show replays key moments from new angles, so order is essential for the betrayal reveals. No sequel or film continues the story, so the 71 episodes are complete. Track the Ramiz chess lessons because each maps to a later move. The 2011 finale is famously final.
