About Grantchester
Grantchester follows crime solving vicars with DI Geordie Keating. Series 1 from 2014 sets Sidney Chambers with 6 cases in 1950s Cambridgeshire parish life. Later series bring Will Davenport as the new vicar with the same station team and new romances.
Series 8 to 10 run into 2023 to 2025 with new vicars and Geordie near retirement talk. Cases mix parish and police work with period detail. The show stays open with ITV renewals, so broadcast order keeps each vicar handover and time jump clear without a finale to aim for.
