About Grounded for Life
Grounded for Life was created by Mike Schiff and Bill Martin for Fox then The WB, centering Sean and Lily Finnerty with Eddie, Henry and Brad. Season one ran in 2001 with Catholic school and grandparent arcs led by Uncle Eddie living in the garage.
Later seasons move networks while layering teen rebellion and job beats through the 2005 finale. Each season plays self contained family farce with kid aging continuity around Staten Island. Watch seasons one through five in broadcast order, since Eddie and Henry growth beats recur toward the close.
Good to know
Broadcast order is the recommended path across five seasons, since kid aging compounds over time. Start with season one for young parents setup that powers later school gags and Eddie antics. Later teen payoffs land best after full early context. As an ended run, all five entries form the complete guide.
