About Halo (TV series)
Halo on screen splits into the early live-action experiments and the Paramount+ series. Forward Unto Dawn (2012) follows cadets at Corbulo Academy into the Covenant invasion, and Nightfall (2014) trails an ONI mission on a Halo fragment. Both tie directly into game lore.
The Halo series (2022 to 2024) runs two seasons in its own Silver Timeline, separate from the games, with Pablo Schreiber as a Master Chief who removes the helmet and questions orders. Watch the two films first for lore flavor, then the series as its own thing. Paramount+ cancelled the show after season 2, so the story ends on a cliffhanger the producers had hoped to continue.

The Silver Timeline is the key concept: the series deliberately diverges from game canon, so arguments about lore accuracy miss the point the showrunners stated upfront. Forward Unto Dawn was originally a five-part web series later cut into a film, which is why its pacing feels episodic. Nightfall bridges Halo 4 and Halo 5 and rewards players most. No revival had been announced after the 2024 cancellation at the last check.
