About Home Improvement

Home Improvement aired on ABC from September 1991 to May 1999 for eight seasons and 204 episodes. It follows Tool Time host Tim Taylor, played by Tim Allen, blowing up projects at work and home beside Jill, Brad, Randy and Mark, with neighbor Wilson advising over the fence. The show ranked in the top ten for most of its run.

Allen ended it with season eight by choice as the boys left for college and Tool Time faced its own changes. No revival has been ordered, though Allen and Patricia Richardson have said in interviews they would consider the right reunion rather than a full restart.

Good to know

Watch one through eight in broadcast order, since the boys aging and the Tool Time crew turns assume sequence. Randy's departure in the final season reads abrupt out of order, so keep the college years in place. Wilson's face staying hidden runs the whole show as its longest gag, which pays off only seen straight through.
