About Homeland
Homeland stars Claire Danes as CIA officer Carrie Mathison and Mandy Patinkin as her mentor Saul Berenson, with Damian Lewis as rescued prisoner of war Nicholas Brody driving the early seasons. The Showtime thriller ran 96 episodes across eight seasons, 12 in each, from October 2, 2011 to April 26, 2020.
Watch the seasons in air order. The Brody storyline closes in season 3, then Carrie works abroad as a station chief, returns to the US for the New York and Washington seasons, and ends in Afghanistan chasing peace in season 8.
Good to know
No season aired in 2016 or 2019; season 6 premiered January 15, 2017 and season 8 premiered February 9, 2020 after production delays in Morocco. Showtime confirmed in August 2018 that season 8 would be the last.
