About Ironside
Ironside opened with a pilot film in March 1967 about Robert Ironside after the shooting that put him in a wheelchair in San Francisco. Season 1 ran 28 episodes from September 1967, with seasons 2 through 7 at 24 to 26 each and steady cases.
Season 8 ran 19 episodes to January 1975 with only 16 aired first run before midseason cancellation ended it. The Return of Ironside aired May 1993 on NBC as a reunion film with the team back. A 2013 remake with Blair Underwood ran 9 produced episodes with 4 aired before cancellation, kept separate here.
Good to know
Watch the pilot, then seasons 1 through 8, then the 1993 film in that order. Cases stand alone weekly, so the order rule is light outside team changes across years. The 2013 remake shares only the premise and lead setup, so treat it as an optional branch after. The reunion film assumes the original team fully.
