About Mannix
Mannix opened September 1967 on CBS about LA detective Joe Mannix, played by Mike Connors with a sports car and temper. Season 1 at 24 episodes sits inside the Intertective computer agency, then Mannix quits to go independent from season 2 on.
Seasons 2 through 8 run 24 to 25 episodes each through April 1975, closing with Hardball and the office intact. Gail Fisher as Peggy and later Robert Reed as Lew frame the office years around him. No revival has filmed, with the run standing as one of the longest PI shows of its era.
