About Monsters
Monsters began September 2022 on Netflix from Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan about Jeffrey Dahmer with Evan Peters across 10 episodes. It sets the anthology rules with victim focus and trial fallout that later seasons copy.
The Menendez Brothers season arrived September 2024 about Lyle and Erik with Cooper Koch and Nicholas Chavez, and the Ed Gein season arrived October 2025 with Charlie Hunnam. Each season resets cast and case, so release order shows how the true crime framing grew darker. The pace stays steady across entries, with each part adding new faces without losing the core tone.
Good to know
There is no shared timeline to reorder since Dahmer, Menendez and Gein stand alone with no cross cases. Watch in release order for the cleanest first run, as later seasons assume the anthology tone. Treat the show as ongoing since Netflix renews per case, with a fourth season still unannounced. Plan extra time for finales, since later parts assume full knowledge of earlier twists.
