About Mr. Mercedes
Mr. Mercedes follows retired detective Bill Hodges hunting prosecuted killer Brady Hartsfield across ten episodes in 2017. Season 2 from 2018 adapts the third novel's supernatural turn with Brady reaching from his hospital bed.
Season 3 from 2019 rewinds to the second novel's Finders Keepers burglary plot with the same cast. Note the swap: TV seasons 2 and 3 flip books 3 and 2. All thirty episodes form the complete run on the now-defunct Audience network with no renewal coming. Watch the three seasons in air order.
Good to know
Release order is story order on screen even though the adaptations swap the last two books. Each season runs ten episodes with the same Hodges core. The Audience network folded in 2020 with the show streaming on Peacock and no fourth season coming. Start with season 1, since Brady's Mercedes massacre drives everything after.
