About My Hero
My Hero follows alien Thermoman as George Sunday with nurse Janet in suburbia. Series 1 ran 7 episodes from February 4 to December 22, 2000 on BBC One. Series 2 ran 6 episodes in 2001 with the wedding. Series 3 ran 10 episodes in 2002, Series 4 ran 10 in 2003, Series 5 ran 10 in 2005.
Series 6 ran 8 episodes from July 21 to September 10, 2006 with James Dreyfus replacing Ardal O'Hanlon as George Monday. Paul Mendelson created all 51 episodes plus a 2001 Comic Relief short. The BBC ended it in 2006. No revival exists.
Good to know
Broadcast order keeps the family timeline straight, since Ollie arrives in Series 2 and ages on screen. The Series 6 recast jars if you jump in there, so earn it by watching the O'Hanlon years first. The Comic Relief short slots after Series 1 as an extra. With 51 episodes, group them in pairs if binging, but keep sequence.
