About My Three Sons
My Three Sons follows widower Steve Douglas raising Mike, Robbie and Chip. Seasons 1 to 4 run from 1960 in black and white with Bub. Seasons 5 to 8 cover the color move through 1968 with Ernie joining.
Seasons 9 to 12 close through 1972 with weddings and Dodie. Fred MacMurray shot all shows in blocks apart. The episodes never need strict links, so release order walks the house from porch to altar. The porch rails and altar bells open every show while Bub fusses. The porch swings and wedding marches fill every show with cake.

Watch seasons 1 through 12 in air order since the boys marry across years. Mike leaves early and Ernie carries late years well. Bub and Uncle Charley split the run proper. The run is closed after 1972 with no further order needed at all today. The ratings crown confirms the house, so start at season one again.
