About Penguin
The Penguin follows Oswald Cobb, played by Colin Farrell, seizing power after Carmine Falcone death in The Batman 2022 flood. Episode 1 premiered September 19, 2024 on Thursday, then Sundays from September 29 through November 10, 2024. Cristin Milioti plays Sofia with Rhenzy Feliz as Victor. Lauren LeFranc developed the run with Matt Reeves producing.
HBO billed the run as a limited series with eight hours. No second season has been ordered as of 2026, though Reeves and LeFranc have discussed ideas. The show earned 24 Emmy nominations with nine wins. Watch The Batman 2022 first for the flood setup, then episodes 1 to 8.
Good to know
Watch episodes 1 through 8 as aired. The war with the Maronis and Sofia builds week by week with no flashback order to sort. Start with After Hours for the murder cover up, continue through Bliss and Centanni for the drug turn, then finish with Top Hat and the finale. The Batman Part 2 dated 2027 would follow this story, not precede it.
