About Phoenix Nights

Phoenix Nights is the Channel 4 sitcom created by Peter Kay with Neil Fitzmaurice and Dave Spikey, set in the Phoenix Club in Bolton with wheelchair bound owner Brian Potter. Series 1 aired six episodes from 14 January to 18 February 2001, rushed forward after That Peter Kay Thing won at the British Comedy Awards, and ends with the club torched.

Series 2 aired six episodes from 8 August to 12 September 2002, following the rebuild under new licensee Jerry St Clair and the rivalry with Den Perrys Banana Grove. Kay directed the second run, and the twelve episodes form one closed story with no third series produced.

Good to know

There is no separate chronological order for Phoenix Nights worth listing, since every episode follows the last with no flashback structure to reorder. Watch Series 1 then Series 2 in full, including the Talent Trek final and the Stars in Their Eyes closer. Talk of a third series never reached production, so Series 2 episode six is the ending.
