About The Rings of Power
The Rings of Power tells a Second Age story separate from the Jackson films, with Galadriel hunting Sauron and new Harfoot, Numenor and Khazad-dum threads. Season 1 from 2022 spans eight episodes to the Southlands fall and Halbrand reveal. Season 2 from 2024 covers Eregion siege and ring making across eight more.
Season 3 is in production for the next phase of the war. Watch season 1 then season 2 in order because the ring plots stack. This guide covers only the Amazon series, not the films, since the show uses its own continuity.
Good to know
Keep this series apart from the Middle-earth films list, which treats the show as a separate continuity. Season 1 runs eight episodes and season 2 runs eight. Season 3 has no air date as of this check and will extend the list once dated. Start with season 1 because the Harfoot and Numenor threads only make sense after their introductions there.
