About Sacred Games
Sacred Games is Netflix India's crime saga about honest cop Sartaj Singh and fugitive don Ganesh Gaitonde, from Vikram Chandra's novel. Season one with eight episodes from July 6, 2018 opens with Gaitonde's phone call warning that Mumbai has 25 days left, flashing between Sartaj's hunt and Gaitonde's rise.
Season two with eight episodes from August 15, 2019 continues directly, adding Guruji's ashram, Batya and Shahid Khan while Sartaj chases the third father reveal. Anurag Kashyap directed Gaitonde's track and Neeraj Ghaywan handled Sartaj's side. The creators left the ending open but no third season was ordered.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for Sacred Games worth listing, since flashbacks are woven into both seasons on purpose. Release order is story order. Watch season one for the Gaitonde origin and Sartaj setup, then season two for the Guruji payoff. Skipping to season two spoils the bunker reveal that drives the whole countdown.
