About Sanditon
Sanditon adapts Jane Austen unfinished final novel through Andrew Davies for ITV and PBS Masterpiece, following Charlotte Heywood to the fishing village turning resort. Series one aired August 2019 with Theo James as Sidney Parker, then cancellation, then Masterpiece revival brought series two in March 2022 and series three from March 19 to April 23 2023 as the announced final run.
The story continues forward with Charlotte, Georgiana Lambe, and Alexander Colbourne, ending the resort arc. Watch series one to three in air order, since each year assumes the prior romances and business schemes.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing. The three series from 2019 to 2023 follow Charlotte forward in the same resort timeline, so release order and story order are the same list. Austen left only eleven chapters, so series two and three are continuation rather than adaptation, but they still play in sequence.
