About Sonny with a Chance

Sonny with a Chance follows Sonny Munroe on sketch show So Random with Chad from Mackenzie Falls. Season 1 ran 21 episodes in 2009 and season 2 ran 26 from 2010 to January 2011 ending with New Girl.

Lovato left in late 2010 and season 3 was reworked into So Random with 26 episodes from June 2011 to March 2012 around sketches and a musical guest, with Chad joining. Thornton announced no second So Random season in 2012. Watch Sonny seasons 1 and 2, then So Random. Disney Plus briefly grouped So Random as Sonny season 3.

There is no separate chronological order. So Random continues the same studio with the same cast minus Sonny, so release order is the only list. The sketches stand alone inside each episode. No movie was ever made and no revival has been announced as of September 2026, so March 2012 is the endpoint.
