About Squid Game
Squid Game ran three seasons on Netflix from 2021 to 2025 and told one complete story about Gi-hun, so the viewing path is short. Season 1 introduces the 456-player contest, season 2 from December 2024 brings Gi-hun back inside with new players, and season 3 from June 2025 closes his arc across six final episodes.
Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has said season 3 is the end of the Korean story, with no season 4 planned. Netflix keeps the universe alive through Squid Game: The Challenge reality seasons and a planned American spin-off, but neither continues Gi-hun's plot.
Good to know
Watch seasons 1 through 3 in release order, since story order matches exactly and each season picks up where the last stopped. The Challenge reality show uses the same games with real contestants and can be watched any time after season 1. The American spin-off was reported in development but has no date, so it stays out of the main list for now.
