About The Buccaneers
The Buccaneers is an Apple TV+ period drama inspired by Edith Wharton's unfinished novel that premiered on November 8, 2023. Five wealthy American girls chase husbands through 1870s London high society, led by Nan St. George and her sisters. Season 1 ran 8 episodes, with season 2 following in 2025 across 8 more as romances fracture and reform.
The show mixes modern music with corset era plotting, tracking each Buccaneer from debutante balls to weddings and fallout. Season arcs carry directly forward, so release order is the viewing order. Watch season 1 before season 2 for every engagement and betrayal to land.
Good to know
Watch season 1 from 2023 before the 2025 second season, since every romance and rivalry carries straight over. The London season structure means balls and weddings chain together, so skipping breaks the social map. Wharton readers should treat the show as a loose continuation of her fragment. Two seasons in release order cover the Buccaneers so far.
