About The Burbs
The Burbs reimagines Joe Dante 1989 film for Peacock with Celeste Hughey running. Keke Palmer stars as Samira with Jack Whitehall as Rob, plus Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch and Kapil Talwalkar. Imagine and Fuzzy Door produce with Seth MacFarlane.
Eight episodes dropped February 8, 2026. Samira fixates on the Victorian across the street after learning someone may have died there two decades back, with Justin Kirk as odd Gary. Season 2 was renewed April 2026. The show mixes comedy and horror in the safest town claim.
Good to know
Watch season 1 episodes 1 through 8 in order, then wait for season 2. The house mystery builds across the cul-de-sac, so the early episodes set suspects. Season 2 has no air date as of October 2026. The 1989 film is optional homework, the series restates its own premise. Start at episode 1, the move in frames everything.
