About The Curse
The Curse follows newlyweds Whitney and Asher Siegel as they film a home-renovation pilot in Espanola while facing a supposed curse from a young girl. Benny Safdie co-stars as producer Dougie, whose cameras capture every awkward negotiation. The Showtime series aired ten episodes in 2023.
Early episodes establish the passive-aggressive flipping format and the curse premise. Middle chapters escalate with the casino vote, the missing chicken and the increasingly strained marriage. The finale pays off visual gags planted from episode one. Watching out of order would spoil how the couple's public image cracks across the shoot.
Good to know
Watch episodes one through ten in order. The series is a slow cringe comedy that builds through callbacks, not standalone sketches. Later episodes reuse locations and side characters without reintroducing them. There is no alternate chronology, since the pilot shoot moves forward week by week. Viewers should expect an uncomfortable finale that divides opinion by design.
