About The Fugitive
Dr. Richard Kimble is convicted of murdering his wife and flees to find the one-armed man he says did it, chased by a determined lawman. The original ABC series starred David Janssen and ran four seasons and 120 episodes from 1963 to 1967, ending with the famous two-part finale The Judgment. It set the template of a new town each week, with Kimble helping strangers while staying ahead of Lt. Gerard.
The 1993 film starred Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones, earned seven Oscar nominations with a win for Jones, and grossed about 369 million dollars. CBS remade the story in 2000 with Tim Daly for one season of 23 episodes, and Quibi made a new version in 2020 with Boyd Holbrook in short episodes. None of them continue each other, so watch any one alone or all four in release order.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing here, since each Fugitive version restarts Kimble's story from zero and none of them share a timeline. The original series, the 1993 film, the 2000 CBS reboot, and the 2020 Quibi series are four continuities, not four chapters. Release order works because it shows how the same premise was reshaped across six decades of TV and film.
