About The Great
The Great plays Catherine's coup as an occasionally true farce across three Hulu seasons. Season 1 ran 10 episodes May 15, 2020 with the arrival and the coup spark, season 2 ran 10 November 19, 2021, and season 3 ran 10 May 12, 2023. The Peter marriage war, the Swedish war detour and the Orlo counsel carry the run across thirty.
Hulu cancelled it in August 2023 after 30 episodes. The history bends freely with the comedy first. Watch the three seasons straight since the coup plot and the court roster arc across the whole run.
Good to know
Release order is the story order. The coup scheming and the Catherine Peter war stack across all three seasons, so the finale only lands with the full 30 behind it. The real history sits behind the farce as background, never homework. The show is cancelled with no revival announced after the August 2023 cut.
