The Killing US from AMC remakes Danish Forbrydelsen about Seattle detectives Linden and Holder. Season 1 ran 13 episodes April to June 2011 with Rosie Larsen search. Season 2 ran 13 April to June 2012 closing Rosie killer. Season 3 ran 12 June to August 2013 with street murders.
Season 4 closed six August 2014 on Netflix with military school case. The show totals 44 episodes with no spinoff. Story order matches release across cases, so seasons straight is the path. AMC cancelled twice with Netflix saving the end, so these four are complete with rain mood throughout.
Good to know
Watch seasons 1 to 4 in order since Linden past and Holder growth stack. Each episode runs 45 minutes with slow rain pacing. Season 1 red herrings frustrate some, but season 2 payoff needs them. The Danish original runs separately with Sarah Lund and can be watched after. All seasons stream on Hulu with DVD sets out.
