About The Knick
The Knick follows Dr Thackery leading surgery at the Knickerbocker in 1900 New York with Edwards, Gallinger and Barrow. Season 1 from 2014 sets addiction, transfusion races and the new wing across 10 episodes. Season 2 from 2015 runs eugenics, plague ships and Thackery island exile across 10 episodes to a finale operation.
Two seasons aired with Soderbergh directing all 20 as one run. Watch in broadcast order since procedures, debts and marriages stack directly. The finale was shot as a possible end with Thackery fate and Edwards lead settled, and no third season was ordered despite revival talk.
Good to know
Broadcast order is the only order with surgeries building in skill and risk. Season 1 sets 1900 limits slowly through heroin and lights, so give it three episodes. Season 2 assumes the addiction and race beats, which makes skipping costly. Treat season 2 as the close with the hospital moved uptown and no revival dated.
