About The Long Season
The Long Season is Tencent's 2023 Dongbei crime miniseries about three old friends pulled back into a twenty year old dismemberment case. Twelve episodes premiered April 22, 2023, braiding 1997, 1998 and 2016 timelines around a train depot town. The pigeon and the cornfield images carry the run.
The series is a single closed story with no second season. Its fractured timeline resolves fully by the finale. Watch the ranges below in order since the three eras intercut by design and only cohere as aired.
Good to know
Watch episodes 1 through 12 in aired order. The 1997, 1998 and 2016 threads intercut on purpose, so any chronological reshuffle breaks the mystery design. No second season exists or is planned. The twelve stand as a complete miniseries with the depot town thread closing every era in the finale. The pigeon motif runs through all three eras as the quiet emotional spine.
