About The Savant
The Savant adapts Andrea Stanley 2019 Cosmopolitan piece about a woman known only as K who stops mass shootings before they happen. Jessica Chastain stars as Jodi, called the Savant, opposite Nnamdi Asomugha, with Melissa James Gibson as writer and Matthew Heineman directing. Fifth Season produces for Apple TV.
Eight episodes were dated September 26 to November 7, 2025, with two at premiere. Days before launch Apple postponed after the Charlie Kirk assassination, given the subject overlap. Chastain said in 2026 the show will air, but no new date had been fixed as of this check. Episode order stays straight investigation build.
Good to know
Watch episodes 1 through 8 in order once released. The two episode premiere sets the infiltration method, later weeks follow separate plots weekly. The delay came September 23, 2025, three days before launch, so listings still show the old dates in places. Treat any 2025 dates as planned, not aired. Start at episode 1, the K backstory frames everything after.
