About The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead ran eleven seasons and 177 episodes, ending November 20, 2022, and spawned six spin-offs. Fear the Walking Dead ran eight seasons and 113 episodes from 2015 to 2023. World Beyond finished in 2021 after 20 episodes, Tales of the Walking Dead delivered six standalone episodes in 2022, and The Ones Who Live closed Rick and Michonne's story in 2024. Dead City and Daryl Dixon continue past the finale.
Release order is the recommendation. Fear the Walking Dead starts as an outbreak prequel but from season 4 onward runs alongside the main show, so strict chronology would mean splitting seasons between shows. The story order below keeps whole seasons together.
Good to know
The chronological list is a simplification: Fear the Walking Dead seasons 1 to 3 begin before much of the main show while seasons 4 to 8 overlap it, and World Beyond sits during the main show's later seasons. There is no agreed order among Dead City, Daryl Dixon and The Ones Who Live, since the three run in parallel after the finale. Tales is standalone and fits anywhere.
