About Trailer Park Boys
Trailer Park Boys started on Showcase in April 2001 and ran seven seasons to 2007, plus a 2004 Christmas special set in 1997 and the film The Movie in 2006. Countdown to Liquor Day from 2009 closed that era. Netflix revived the show for seasons 8 through 12 from 2014 to 2018, with Dont Legalize It in 2014 bridging the return.
The Animated Series ran 20 episodes in 2019 and 2020 as a non-canon branch, and Trailer Park Boys: Jail ran from 2021 with a second run in 2025. Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties premiered in December 2024. Season 13 wrapped in July 2025 and premieres in April 2026 on TPB+, the first season not on Netflix.
Good to know
Watch in premiere order and treat the films as they fall between seasons, since the movies drop the mockumentary style but keep the plot moving. The Christmas special is a prequel, so save it for after season 4 rather than first. The animated run branches from the season 12 finale and stays optional. Cast exits after season 7 and the 2017 loss of John Dunsworth change the lineup, so expect a different ensemble from season 8 on.
