About Tripods
Tripods adapts John Christopher White Mountains books for BBC with Will Parker, Beanpole, and Fritz dodging Tripod caps in future Britain and France. Series one aired thirteen episodes in 1984 as White Mountains trek, series two aired twelve in 1985 as City of Gold and Lead with Coggy. A third series for Pool of Fire was scripted but never shot when ratings fell.
The run ends mid quest at the city gates. Watch series one then series two in order for the trek as produced, since the second year assumes the first year escape and cap lore.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing. The two BBC series from 1984 to 1985 follow the trek forward in the same future timeline with Will and Beanpole together, so release order and story order are the same list. The unmade Pool of Fire would have closed it, but the aired 25 play straight through.
