About Velvet

Velvet starts in the Madrid Galerias Velvet in the late 1950s, where heir Alberto Marquez loves sales assistant Ana Rivera. Four seasons follow the store, the Marquez family and the rival owners across sales, weddings and ownership fights. The story closes its Madrid arc at the end of season four.

Velvet Coleccion moves to Barcelona in the 1960s with Ana opening a new store, plus Clara, Pedro and Raul in new roles. Two seasons and a Christmas finale continue that thread. Release order keeps the five year jump and the new cast clear.

Good to know

Watch Velvet seasons 1 to 4, then Velvet Coleccion seasons 1 and 2, then the Christmas special. The sequel assumes you know Ana and Alberto, so starting with Barcelona spoils the Madrid ending. A newer Telemundo title, Velvet El nuevo imperio, is a separate remake thread and is not needed for this saga.
