About Victoria Wood
Victoria Wood (1953 to 2016) was a British comic writer and performer whose TV work ran from sketch shows to sitcom. Victoria Wood: As Seen on TV (BBC Two, 1985 to 1987) made her name with stand-up, songs and the soap spoof Acorn Antiques, followed by a second sketch series, Victoria Wood (1989).
Her later landmarks include the TV film Pat and Margaret (1994) with Julie Walters, the factory-canteen sitcom Dinnerladies (two series, 1998 to 2000, sixteen episodes), and Housewife, 49 (2006), the wartime TV film she wrote and starred in. Release order below traces that path from sketch star to sitcom writer.
Good to know
These are separate works with no shared story, so treat the order as a suggested path rather than a plot sequence. Comedy fans often start with Dinnerladies, while completists should begin with As Seen on TV for Acorn Antiques in context. Acorn Antiques: The Musical (2005) was a stage show, not TV, so it sits outside this list.
