About Wallander
Wallander from BBC ran 12 feature films over four series about Kurt Wallander in Ystad with Branagh lead. Series 1 ran three films November 2008 with firewall and man smiling plots. Series 2 ran three January 2010 with faceless killers. Series 3 ran three July 2012 with troubled man arc.
Series 4 closed three May to June 2016 with White Lioness and Troubled Man dementia end. Stories adapt Henning Mankell novels loosely with standalone cases plus Kurt decline, so broadcast order is story order. BBC ended it in 2016 with no series 5, so these twelve are complete.
Good to know
Watch series 1 to 4 in order since Kurt health and family stack. Each film runs 90 minutes with slow burn pacing. Series 1 teaches Ystad team fastest, later series assume case style. Swedish Wallander with Krister Henriksson runs separately with 32 films and can be watched after. All BBC films stream on iPlayer with DVD sets out.
