About We Were the Lucky Ones
We Were the Lucky Ones follows the Kurc family split from Radom Passover 1938 across Lvov, Siberia, Casablanca and Rio. Developed by Erica Lipez, the eight episodes move from Radom through Lvov and Siberia to Warsaw and Rio.
All episodes aired March 28 to May 2, 2024 on Hulu with Hadas Yaron as Mila and Robin Weigert as Nechuma. The story tracks each sibling survival toward reunion. Watch in release order since each continent jump and camp winter stacks toward the final Rio meeting. The finale pays off eight way separation only after full war context.
Good to know
Release order is story order across eight hours with no spinoffs. Start at Radom for Passover separation setup that powers later survival lines. The finale Rio reunion lands only after full Siberia and Warsaw builds, so sequential viewing matters. As a completed limited series, these eight form the entire guide.
