About The Young and the Restless
The Young and the Restless tracks Genoa City families from 1973 on CBS. The 1970s to 1980s set Brooks, Foster and the Newman Abbott base with Victor and Nikki. The 1990s add Sharon, Nick and wedding peaks.
The 2000s bring business wars and returns, while the 2010s to 2020s continue with new generations and the same firms. Watch decades in order because wedding returns assume old exits. The soap is ongoing with no end dated. New viewers can start with any decade but should go forward. Episodes stand alone per scheme, but firm bonds and wedding arcs grow with each decade in Genoa City.
Good to know
Decade order avoids listing 12000 plus episodes one by one. Early decades set Genoa firms and ranch base. Middle decades add weddings and corporate stunts. Later years assume finale knowledge of who left and returned. Start with any decade, but go forward to catch why Victor and Jack returns land after long gaps.
