About Blue Gender
Blue Gender TV (1999 to 2000) runs twenty six episodes with Yuji waking from cryo sleep into 2031 Blue overrun Earth and Second Earth refuge. Created by Ryosuke Takahashi, the story pairs Yuji with soldier Marlene across Baikonur and space base arcs.
Blue Gender The Warrior (2002) compiles TV footage with reanimated clips and a different ending across 95 minutes. Watch the TV run first for full swarm and romance progression, then the film as a condensed alternate. The manga adapts alongside in one volume but stays optional after TV.
Good to know
Release order is the viewing order since the film reuses TV swarm setup. Start with the 1999 TV run for Yuji sleep and Marlene training beats that power later trust. The Warrior works only after TV context as an alternate ending, so save it for second. As a completed TV plus film run, these two form the full guide.
