About Another
Another follows Kouichi in cursed class 3-3 with Mei Misaki as deaths mount. P.A. Works produced 12 episodes from January to March 2012 adapting the Ayatsuji novel. The OVA The Other arrived May 2012 bundled with manga volume 0 as a prequel.
The live film in August 2012 retells the novel in 109 minutes with the same story. Novels continued with Episode S and Another 2001 but no new anime followed since 2012. Watch the 12 episodes first, then the OVA as a prequel bonus, then the film as an alternate take.
Good to know
The OVA sits before the TV story in time but released after, so chronological order would start at episode 0. The guide still recommends release order because the prequel assumes you know the curse rules. The film repeats the novel rather than continuing, so treat it as separate. No new anime has been announced since 2012.
