About Ghost Hound
Ghost Hound follows three teens in Suiten who project their spirits out of body and meet local ghosts. The 22 episode series aired from October 2007 to April 2008 on WOWOW, planned by Masamune Shirow and animated by Production I.G with live action documentary inserts. The plot builds from small town hauntings toward a hospital and mountain mystery with steady reveals.
There are no sequels, films or OVAs beyond the TV run, so broadcast order is the only path. The manga by Kanata Asahi retells the same events in print, but the anime is the main version. Watch episodes 1 through 22 in order for the full astral investigation from first projection to the finale.
Good to know
Watch episodes 1 through 22 in broadcast order, since the astral rules and town backstory build week to week. The show mixes slow mystery with spirit world trips, so skipping ahead breaks the reveals. Treat the run as a single closed story with no extra entries. The 2007 to 2008 broadcast is complete with no follow up announced. Broadcast order keeps the spirit rules and reveals clear throughout.
