About Bocchi the Rock!
Hitori Gotoh is a shy guitar obsessive who plays alone in her closet until drummer Nijika drags her into Kessoku Band. CloverWorks adapted Aki Hamaji's four-panel manga as 12 episodes from October to December 2022, and the band's slow climb through Shimokitazawa live houses carries the whole run.
The two 2024 compilation films, Re: and Re:Re:, recap that season with some new animation and can be skipped by series viewers. Season 2 was green-lit in February 2025 with Yusuke Yamamoto directing, but no air date had been set as of September 2026.
Good to know
Re: opened June 7 2024 and Re:Re: followed August 9 2024; Crunchyroll later screened both together as Recap Part 1 and 2. The season 2 announcement came at the Kessoku Band Tour 'We will B' event on February 15 2025, with CloverWorks returning. The manga still runs in Manga Time Kirara MAX.
