About K-On!
K-On! adapts Kakifly's manga about Yui, Mio, Ritsu, Mugi and later Azusa forming the Hokago Tea Time band. Season one aired 13 episodes in 2009 from Kyoto Animation with the club forming, season two aired 26 in 2010 through the school festival, and the film (2011) takes the graduation trip to London.
The manga finished the high-school and college runs with no further anime announced, leaving the film as the planned close. An OVA and the Ura-On shorts fit as side stories around their matching seasons rather than required chapters.
Good to know
Watch season one, season two, then the film last, since the graduation and the London show assume the full club history. The movie works as the emotional finale rather than a side trip, so do not watch it between seasons. College and High School manga volumes continue past the anime for readers wanting more tea time.
