About Love Live!
Love Live! began with Muse at Otonokizaka across two seasons in 2013 and 2014 plus the 2015 film closing their Love Live win. Sunshine followed Aqours at Uranohoshi with two seasons in 2016 and 2017 plus its 2019 film. Nijigasaki streamed from 2020 around solo idols, Superstar ran three seasons from 2021 with Liella, and new generations keep the app and concerts active.
Each school tells its own save-the-school story with no shared plot, so generations stand alone despite the franchise name. The live concert tours and the mobile games extend the music, but the anime groups need nothing outside their own seasons.
Good to know
Start with either Muse or Aqours season one, since both teach the school-idol format from zero. Watch each generation's two seasons plus its film together before moving schools, as the finales assume their own buildup. Nijigasaki and Superstar work the same way, with the 2022 film and later entries fitting their own groups only.
