About Digimon
Digimon resets its cast and world with almost every entry. Adventure and Adventure 02 share continuity, Tamers through Savers each start fresh, Fusion collects zones instead of partners, and Appmon swaps monsters for apps. The tri films and Last Evolution Kizuna return to the original Adventure kids as teens and young adults.
Ghost Game from 2021 tells a horror leaning standalone, while Beatbreak from 2025 starts a new continuity. Watch in release order since crossovers assume broadcast familiarity, but new viewers can start with Adventure, Tamers or Ghost Game as clean entries without losing much.
Good to know
Release order works because only Adventure, 02, tri and Kizuna form one thread. Tamers, Frontier, Savers, Fusion and Appmon each reboot the rules, so skipping to one is safe. Watch tri after 02 and Kizuna after tri, since those three depend on the same kids grown up. Treat The Beginning and Beatbreak as the current end, with Beatbreak still airing into 2026 in some regions.
