About Domestic Girlfriend
Domestic Girlfriend aired January to March 2019 from Diomedea about student writer Natsuo Fujii living with stepsisters Rui and Hina after their parents marry. Early episodes set the house rules and school jobs, with each test and trip shifting who hides feelings.
Later episodes push the love triangle toward a pause point that stops well before the manga finale. The manga ran 2014 to 2020 for 28 volumes, so the anime works as an intro that ends mid story and needs the books for the rest. The pace stays steady across entries, with each part adding new faces without losing the core tone.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing since all 12 episodes run in sequence with no side arcs to reorder. Watch episodes 1 to 4 for setup, 5 to 9 for school fallout, then 10 to 12 for the pause. Read the manga from the start after, since the show trims scenes that matter later. Plan extra time for finales, since later parts assume full knowledge of earlier twists.
